Junior Achievement Competition Dear YHS Students, It is that time of year again to register for the Junior Achievement Titan Challenge. If you would like to register a 3 person team please email me the members of your team. Please note- this competition takes place Wednesday of Spirit Week. This is a fun day-long competition. Students create a team of three and apply their knowledge of business as they compete online in the highly competitive on-line game against other student teams across the state of Maine Students enter decisions about price, production, marketing, capital investment, and research and development. The impact of their decisions will lead to the success or failure of their company. The attached Strategy Guide explains the strategy of the game. Students are able to practice against the computer before the event. On-line simulations can be accessed by visiting http://titan.ja.org and selecting “JA Titan 3.0 Public”. This video explains the concepts of the game from a student who has won in the past. Housekeeping Items: Arrival time on February 28th 8:15am; departure time 2:15pm. Lunch is provided, please let me know if your students have any food allergies. Students will need to bring one wireless laptop and power cord per team (no iPads or tablets). Schools are responsible for student transportation. Yarmouth can enroll four teams of three students at Tyler Technologies which is our hub location this year.
